$19.95

The Before The Ever Since CD is a compilation of the same eleven songs on the Maury Muehleisen – Gingerbreadd LP and CD; however, these are Maury’s early home and studio demos from 1969/1970. This compilation, produced by Mary Muehleisen and Tommy West in 2006, also includes two additional songs, titles with which Jim Croce fans may be familiar.

Tune 12 on this Before The Ever Since CD is Maury’s 1970 solo studio demo version of his “Salon and Saloon” song, just Maury playing guitar and singing. Jim Croce did a version of Maury’s “Salon and Saloon” on his third and final ABC Records I Got A Name LP, just Jim singing and Tommy West playing piano.

Tune 13 on this Before The Ever Since CD is Maury’s 1969 solo home recording of his “I Remember Mary” song about an unrequited love. There is another version of this song featured on the Jim CroceThe Faces I’ve Been LP, an album released in 1975 by Lifesong Records as a retrospective of Jim’s career. That rendition of “I Remember Mary” is of Maury playing guitar and singing, recorded at The Hit Factory in the spring of 1971, with Jim Croce backing him on rhythm guitar, and is the only existing published composition in which Maury sings one of his songs with Jim Croce backing him.

I really love this— just Maury and his guitar (harmonica, too). A realness that gives the feeling of being in the room with Maury as he sings and plays.

      Hi, Terry,
I have just found this Comment page on my site and see that you have left two Comments, both in May 2020. Most people write to the Testimonial page if they want everyone to read their post. I will try to look here now in case your write again.

The definition of soul touching songs are these recordings. Maury was the most talented musician I have ever heard. I never have a dry eye listening to this. The emotions, the passion, the gift—overwhelming.
