Maury, the quiet friend who was rarely recognized for his influence on the beautiful guitar duets that changed the way many guitarists have played and written songs, a musical Genius with a capital “G”.
On September 20, 1973, after a concert on the campus of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, Maury perished in a plane crash along with Jim Croce. The world has yet to see another musical talent as Maury Muehleisen. This website is dedicated to his memory.
